Spoony....

Been trying to photograph Spoonbill for quite a longtime now.
Finally got the opportunity this week, all be it from a distance.
Not the best images I've ever taken, but there better than none at all!



Patricularly like the one below. Some type of "backflip" !!

Grey heron also came on the scene, but both species were
more than happy to share the water......

North Cave Wetlands

Nice day, nice weather. Breeding Avocets a plenty.

Also a pair of Lesser Black-backed Gulls on the reserve.

Reed & Sedge Warblers also breeding.

Black Headed Gulls

These Blackheaded Gulls were in playful mood today. Fighting for rights to the perch in the middle of the lake. A bit on the cloudy side but images turned out pretty well.

Fighting Coots

These Coots were showing much aggression at Poteric Carr. Soon be spring hey!
